Anne Arundel Community College offers these classes in partnership with Comprehensive Intelligence Technology Training (CINTT) of Annapolis:


"Intelligence and U.S. National Security"
(HLS 220)* - 3 credit hours

Examines the historic development of intelligence supporting U.S. foreign and national security policy. Surveys the intelligence discipline development from the Revolutionary War through the 21st century Global War on Terrorism.

Mondays 6:30-9:30 p.m. Arnold Campus
* Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENG 111 and PLS 111 or HIS 212 or permission of institute director.


"Introduction to Intelligence Analytics"

(HLS 225)* - 3 credit hours

Examines the intelligence analytic process and reviews methodic approaches intelligence analysts use to prepare assessments for U.S. policy makers. Examines the analytic process used to assess instability/strategic warning and terrorism analysis.

Tuesdays 6:30-9:15 p.m. Arnold Campus
* Prerequisite or corequisite: HLS 220.

"Intelligence Support to the Decision Maker
and Military"

(HLS 230)* - 3 credit hours

Examines how U.S. intelligence supports the creation, implementation and evaluation of U.S. foreign and national security policy. Analyzes and evaluates the role of intelligence during critical foreign policy and national security events in U.S. history.

Wednesdays 6:30-9:30 p.m. Arnold Campus
* Prerequisite or corequisite: HLS 220 or permission of the institute director.

"National Security Challenges in the 21st Century"
(HLS 240)* - 3 credit hours

Surveys major national security challenges facing the Intelligence Community in the 21st century: terrorism, transnational crime, cyber crime, nuclear weapons proliferation and regional conflicts.

Thursdays 6:30-9:30 p.m. Arnold Campus
* Prerequisite: HLS 220 or permission of the institute director.


"Intelligence Analytic Seminar
"

(HLS 245)* - 4 credit hours

Conduct practical exercises involving the development of various intelligence products and present briefings to current and former U.S. policy makers, military leaders and politicians. Practice intelligence writing to produce analytical materials used in daily intelligence support to the policy maker.

*Prerequisite: HLS 225 or permission of department chair. (formerly HLS 235)
